Thurston County Public Health & Social Services is accepting proposals for two funding opportunities. The Behavioral Health Community Grant RFP offers $375,000 for 2026 and $375,000 for 2027 to support mental health and substance use services. Applications must be submitted by November 30, 2025.
The Environmental Health Division also seeks a contractor to control algae in Lake Lawrence. The RFP closes September 2, 2026, and requires a licensed aquatic pesticide applicator. The Lake Lawrence Lake Management District Program oversees the project.
Both opportunities aim to improve community health and environmental quality. Thurston County residents may benefit from expanded mental health resources and cleaner lake conditions. The county will review applications and make awards based on submitted proposals and available funding.
