Olympia City Council and Thurston County are seeking public input on two development projects with deadlines in August. The city is reviewing a proposal to subdivide 6.17 acres into 21 single-family lots at an unspecified Olympia location, which includes a stream and wetland requiring critical area protection. The project, submitted by Chris Carlson and Hatton Godat Pantier, has a comment deadline of August 19.
Thurston County is also seeking feedback on a bulkhead replacement project at 415 75th Way NE in Olympia. The applicant, Pat Gonzalez, plans to replace a failing concrete bulkhead with a 78-foot structure held by 17 helical anchors. Work will temporarily disturb about 900 square feet of beach, with most construction from uplands. Public comments are due by August 28.
