Olympia School District Seeks Budget Feedback Before April Deadline

The Olympia School District is asking students, families, staff, and community members to complete a budget priorities survey by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026. The five-minute survey will help shape the district's 2026-27 budget. Results will be presented to the Olympia School Board in April.

The district is also holding a Budget Work Session at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 2. OSD is building next year's budget under pressure from declining enrollment and rising costs. The district's budget page includes a February 2026 enrollment update, staffing data, and enrollment projections for the coming school year.

In addition to the budget process, the district announced several upcoming events. Free sports physicals for students entering grades 7-12 will be offered on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The district is also accepting new and renewal transfer requests for the 2026-27 school year, and enrollment information is now available for optional elementary programs at Lincoln Elementary and the Olympia Regional Learning Academy Montessori.

Families with children starting kindergarten in fall 2026 are invited to the annual Countdown to Kindergarten event, open to both in-district and out-of-district families.
