The City of Olympia is reviewing a proposal to subdivide a 1.23-acre parcel at 1223 Miller Ave NE into nine residential lots. The application, filed by Chris Carlson of Hatton Godat Pantier, was issued April 16 under the State Environmental Policy Act. Public comments are due by May 7.
The project, called Kelsie Estates Preliminary Short Plat, would create nine lots on land that currently sits within Olympia city limits. The city is the lead agency for the environmental review, which was issued as a Determination of Non-Significance β meaning city reviewers did not identify significant environmental impacts requiring further study.
Blue Star Gas β Tumwater Urban Growth Area Nickel Properties & Investments is seeking a Special Use Permit to build two 30,000-gallon propane storage tanks at 9326 Kimmie St SW in the Tumwater Urban Growth Area. The project, called Blue Star Gas, is intended to support residential, commercial, and fleet fueling operations at a Light Industrial-zoned site that already contains an office and shop. Comments on that application are due May 5.
Residents who want to comment on either project can submit feedback through the Washington State Ecology SEPA online portal before the respective deadlines.
