Olympia and Lacey are reviewing new development projects with public comment periods. The projects include a 54-lot subdivision in Lacey and two Olympia subdivisions totaling 79 new lots.
Lacey City of is reviewing Parkside Place, a 54-lot residential project on 5. 83 acres currently zoned OS-I. The proposal requires a Master Plan Amendment to change land use. In Olympia, Walnut Trails Subdivision aims to split 6. 17 acres into 21 lots with wetland and stream protections. Parr Subdivision plans 58 lots on two parcels. The bulkhead replacement at 415 75th Way NE in Olympia is a smaller project requiring no major land use changes.
Public comments are due by August 10 for Parr Subdivision, August 13 for Parkside Place, August 19 for Walnut Trails, and August 28 for the bulkhead project. Thurston County and Olympia City Council will consider these applications at upcoming meetings.
