Families who register kindergarten-eligible children with North Thurston Public Schools by May 1, 2026, will be entered for a chance to win a prize — an early incentive from the district for fall enrollment planning. Children who turn 5 on or before August 31, 2026, qualify for kindergarten in the fall.
NTPS also announced that its Dual Language Immersion Program is now accepting applications for the fall 2026 school year. The district did not specify an application deadline in the posted information.
Families of students with special needs are invited to a Community Café event on Tuesday, April 14, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at North Thurston High School, located at 600 Sleater-Kinney Road NE in Lacey. The event is designed for conversation and connection around special education topics. RSVPs are requested.
NTPS serves students in the Lacey area of Thurston County and operates four choice schools, including Ignite Family Academy, which blends at-home learning with classroom instruction.
