The Olympia School District, known as NTPS, serves approximately 15,000 students across 13 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 3 comprehensive high schools. The district also includes four choice schools, such as a virtual school, a performing arts middle school, and a career and technical education-focused high school.
NTPS provides full-day kindergarten at every elementary school and offers dual-credit classes at the high school level, allowing students to earn both high school and college credit. The district employs over 130 National Board Certified Teachers and serves more than 1,000 multilingual learners representing over 50 home languages. A 2020 voter-approved bond funded renovations at Komachin Middle School, River Ridge High School, and the Raj Manhas Activity Center.
The district's 2025 Board of Directors was named a Board of Distinction by the Washington State School Directors Association. NTPS also partners with local organizations to support student programs and has over 20,000 volunteer hours contributed annually by community members.
