Families who register kindergarten-eligible children with North Thurston Public Schools (NTPS) by May 1 will be entered for a chance to win a prize — and the district is now accepting enrollments for the 2026–2027 school year. Children who turn 5 on or before August 31, 2026, qualify.
NTPS will also host a Special Education Community Café on Tuesday, April 14, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. The event is open to families and community members who want to learn more about special education services. RSVPs are available through the district's website.
The district is also accepting applications for its Dual Language Immersion Program for fall 2026. NTPS operates four choice schools, including Ignite Family Academy, which blends at-home learning with classroom instruction.
NTPS schools and offices are closed for spring break from April 6 through April 10. School board members are scheduled to attend the National School Boards Association Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, from April 10 through April 12.
