North Thurston Public Schools is now accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2026–2027 school year. Children who turn 5 on or before August 31, 2026, are eligible to enroll.
Families who register by May 1 will be entered for a chance to win a prize, according to the district. The district did not specify what the prize is.
NTPS is also accepting applications for its Dual Language Immersion Program for fall 2026. The program offers bilingual instruction and has limited enrollment. Families interested in the program can apply through the district's website.
Additionally, the district is hosting a Special Education Community Café on Tuesday, April 14, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Parents and community members are invited to attend. RSVPs are requested, though the location was not specified in the district's announcement.
NTPS schools and offices are closed for spring break through April 10. School board members are attending the National School Boards Association Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, from April 10 through April 12.
