Applicant Nickel Properties & Investments, doing business as Blue Star Gas, is seeking a Special Use Permit to add two 30,000-gallon propane storage tanks to an existing office and shop site. The tanks would support residential, commercial, and Autogas fleet fueling operations. Thurston County is leading that review, with comments due May 5, 2026.
A third filing involves Jay Kobza's request for a Class IV Forest Land Conversion permit at 4810 Sunset Beach Dr NW, Olympia. The project would clear approximately half an acre — about 15,000 board feet of timber — on a 2. 09-acre parcel zoned Rural Residential Resource to make way for a single-family home. Comments on that application are due April 30, 2026.
