Lacey City of, Tumwater City of, and Thurston County have filed five new SEPA notices for projects affecting Thurston County residents. The notices include a church expansion, housing subdivision, and stormwater plan updates. Comments on the projects are due between July 13 and 16.
Calvary Chapel North Thurston applied for a Conditional Use Permit to build a 16,710-square-foot chapel on 5. 1 acres at 4707 Park Center Avenue NE in Lacey. The project includes a 122-stall parking lot and stormwater management. Thurston County filed a subdivision proposal for Edelweiss Village at 1741 Judd St NE in Olympia, aiming to create 18 single-family lots from 4. 86 acres. The project will remove 20,000 board feet of timber. Lacey also proposed updating its Stormwater Strategic Plan, which guides its Storm and Surface Water Utility operations.
The remaining two projects are outside Olympia: Anderson Place subdivision in Tumwater and a shoreline restoration project in Yelm. The Tumwater project would create 85 single-family lots on 14. 54 acres. The Yelm project involves a floating dock and wetland restoration. Thurston County residents can submit comments on all projects through July 16.
