North Thurston Public Schools (NTPS) is offering students a College & Career Fair and parents a nationally recognized speaker this week, as conference week runs April 1–3, 2026, with half-day student releases all three days for parent-teacher conferences.
On Tuesday, April 1, NTPS will hold its College & Career Fair from noon to 4 p.m. at River Ridge High School, located at 350 River Ridge Dr SE. The event is open to students exploring post-secondary and career options.
On Wednesday evening, April 2, nationally recognized parenting speaker Barbara Coloroso will present from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Koval Center for the Performing Arts, 4155 6th Ave NE. Coloroso is a well-known educator and author who focuses on parenting, bullying prevention, and discipline.
Families with children turning 5 on or before August 31, 2026 are encouraged to register for kindergarten. NTPS is offering a prize drawing for families who register by May 1. The district is also accepting applications for its Dual Language Immersion Program for fall 2026. The district's annual Family & Community Survey closes April 3.
