Olympia, WA – Governor Bob Ferguson appointed Kelly Wood as Thurston County Superior Court Judge effective July 2, filling the vacancy left by Judge Carol Murphy's retirement. Murphy served 34 years, including 17 on the bench.

Wood, a 18-year veteran of the Attorney General's Office, has litigated environmental and land use cases for decades. He previously worked at Phillips Burgess law firm in Olympia.
