Thurston County is hosting a free Spring Fix-It Fair on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Lacey MakerSpace. Residents can bring broken or damaged bikes, clothing, small appliances, lamps, and other household items for on-site repairs.
County staff and volunteer fixers will be available to help with repairs at no cost. Residents are encouraged to register in advance through the county's website.
The event is part of Thurston County's broader effort to reduce waste by keeping usable items out of the landfill. The county was also named Green Municipality of the Year by the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce this week for its environmental planning and community-level waste reduction programs.
